Peria School & a Rope Swing
At one of our park up spots, the boys found an old rope so we soon sourced a stick and bam, rope swing!
Within that same week we were contacted by Peria School, a small country school between Taipa and Kaitaia with a role of 46 students.
Michelle, the principal, described their school as a place where children can climb trees and be outdoors… sounded like a perfect place to take our new rope swing
In our short trip so far, the uniqueness of each community is really evident. This is just one example of a school reflecting the needs and values of their children.
Thanks heaps to Luke Thompson for the use of his music.
