Exploring Mangakino

An evening and a morning in Mangakino.When was the last time you checked out your big back yard? We are both born and raised New Zealanders and, traveling around, we are overwhelmed by it's beauty. How did we miss so many of these places, some so close to our home town. While we were in Tokoroa we visited Baby Beings who run classes for parents of young children. One of the things they discussed with us is the idea of allowing your children to just be. The idea of simply appreciating your child and observing them explore their world. How easy is it to feel the need to talk our kids through everything, impart our superior knowledge on the them, or control their every move. We challenge you all – over the next week, take your kids somewhere new – local but free. Enjoy the quality time with you kid/s but let them guide the exploration of this incredible big back yard we have at our disposal. Let us know what you discovered!
