Kōrero with Josh Wharehinga
*Warning this clip contains some sensitive topics of discussion and the odd swear word*
It also contains a pretty inappropriate joke from one of our boys. 🙄
New Zealand is a small country but we continue to be surprised at the uniqueness of each area we visit. The first thing we noticed about Gisborne was how friendly everyone is. In this clip our kids explore Kaiti Beach where they friended many locals. We also had the honour of having a Kōrero with Josh Wharehinga and his beautiful whānau. Josh is a councillor at Gisborne District Council and wealth of knowledge not only from his education & research but also from his own childhood experience growing up surrounded by drugs, gangs & alcohol, his experience as a father and as a community leader & advocate for social change.
